Illegal Stop

What is it?

Illegal Stop solution detects when a vehicle is stopped in a forbidden area, or when exceeding the allowed time to stop in certain area: Intersections, areas reserved for loading and unloading or people with reduced mobility etc.

Making use of fixed license plate recognition (ANPR) cameras and evidence cameras, Neural Server and the smart camera NL GHOST are able to detect these infractions, recognise the license plate and record film evidence of the behavior.

How does it work?

The analytic is performed by recognising the license plate of all passing vehicles and analyzing the time the vehicle remains in the control area. With this system, we are able to measure the time a vehicle stays in a certain area and automatically detect vehicles that, for example, block an intersection.

Scope of Technology

Neural Server allows the configuration of the Illegal Stop solution and the generation of sanction proposals for vehicles detected in the control area for a period of time longer than allowed.

The applications in urban environment, parking or even ITS are several. It can be applied to loading and unloading areas where there is a time limit of 20 to 30 minutes for this type of works. Another popular application is at intersections, where drivers blocking the center of the intersection create a bottleneck that replicates throughout the city. The system provides both the image of the registration and the video sequence before and after the event, as well as the period of time the vehicle stayed in this position.

From the BackOffice software of Neural Server, sanction proposals are validated or discarded based by an operator.
