Neural Labs presents new smart camera for ITS

Neural Labs, specialist in solutions based on video analytics and AI, launches new all-in-one camera for ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems): Neural Ghost AI Single.

This is the new version of Neural Ghost, a renowned intelligent camera of proven effectiveness that, without the need for an external server, processes license plate recognition (LPR) and detects vehicle make, color, model and classification, among other functionalities such as detecting vehicles without license plates.

Neural Ghost AI Single has been specifically designed for projects that require LPR and analyzing other vehicles data in high-speed scenarios. It is a very useful tool for optimizing road traffic as it is an ideal solution for, among other applications:

Free flow or shadow tolls.
Integration with maximum vehicle dimensions detection.
Integration with WIM (weigh-in-motion) detection systems.
Section radars.
Detection of cloned license plates.
Identification of vehicles according to their make, model (available in certain countries) and classification (car, motorcycle, bus, truck and van).
Integration with lists of vehicles with arrest warrants, stolen or suspected of being involved in criminal actions.
Detection of vehicles without license plates or with cloned or non-legible license plates.
Recognizing truck and trailer license plates.
Vehicle count and traffic statistics, vehicle types, average speeds, etc.

A SPECIFIC SOLUTION FOR ITS PROJECTS

The original Neural Ghost AI, now known as the Neural Ghost AI Dual, has two lenses, one in black and white for license plate recognition and the other in color for taking images of evidence, but not all customers require this second lens, necessary for the proposal of penalties for traffic violations.

For this reason, Neural Ghost AI Single has a unique sensor with day/night functionality that allows you to work during the day in color mode and at night or in low light conditions, with IR light reinforcement, in black and white mode.

"When we devised Neural Ghost AI Single, we designed a solution that maintains the efficiency, functionalities and advantages of Neural Ghost AI for solutions where context image is not required," explains Elías Valcárcel, CEO of Neural Labs. LICENSE PLATE RECOGNITION AND OTHER VIDEO ANALYTICS EVEN AT 250 KM/H

Neural Ghost AI Single recognizes multiple license plates in even 2 lanes of vehicles traveling at up to 250 km/h. In addition, it incorporates a lens with zoom, focus and motorized iris and has an Intel® multi-core processor and an Intel ® AI (Artificial Intelligence) acceleration for analytics based on Deep Learning. Its housing offers an IP66 and IP68 degree of protection against water and dust and IK10 impact protection, a key aspect when placed in outdoor scenarios.

All this makes it the ideal solution for ITS projects where embedded in the camera video analysis is required even in scenarios of vehicles driven at very high speeds.
